"By Any Means Necessary" is what the legendary Malcom X called for, and Dirty Money #NoRelation is the answer.

Exceptional production by the Grindsmith himself, unparalled lyricism and a hold-no-punches analysis of the South African and International economic chess game, Dirty Money goes where no other dares to go.

Naming names and stating facts, this song  resurrects the tenets that Artists like Lucky Dube, 2 Pac and and Bob Marley advocated, men like Biko fought for and men like Chris Hani died for.

Laced on an contempory Rap Beat, Phatmouse takes listeners through the maize of manipulation built on the money system. He talks about the assissinations of political leaders who's deaths benefitted certain individuals, the effects of removing gold as a backing for currencies and how it causes a systematic increase in living costs. The song also appears to be a metaphor for the crime life in GP the land of Gold and c######.

Dropping Dec 16th, the Day of Reconciliation, Dirty Money #NoRelation is set to cause a stir in the local and international rap scene

Phatmouse Da Grindsmith

From the dusty streets of a Township on the Eastrand, a township with a violent history filled with Political Activism and Civil Wars, violent crimes and and Cash in transit scores, Katlehong, comes a vibrant, positive and talented MC- Phatmouse Da Grindsmith.

Born Thato Kekana, Phatmouse began his rap career in 2003 when he began mimmicking the popular rappers of the time, such as Eminem. Introduced to
Hip Hop by his primary school peers, it wasn't until he met Zain "Phizicist" Ebrahim that he began constructing his own verses. With Phizicist feeding him tons of Big Pun, Big L, and Phatmouse's own appreciation of Biggy smalls and Tupac, his rhyme style began to develop. Witty punchlines and an ability to rap from "the top of the dome" quickly saw him entering battles, and building his rap cred. In 2005 his mother passed away, which saw him relocate to his grandmothers house in Mopedi, Katlehong. There, Thapelo "Keezy E" Mkhize introduced him to the Elohymz, the crew that would build a monster of a battle cat. With years of Syfers and battles with his crew the Elohymz, he became Phatmouse The D*ckslapper, a comical rapper that embarrassed many a veteran. Later in his teens he developed an interest in politics,. and upon becoming a Muslim, adopted a new politically driven outlook on life and rap. He then recorded Cash versus Calling and Millitant Rodent, off the "Its not a theory" e.p. which set the tone for all his recordings following that.

Fast forward to 2011, his first full length album Real To Me is complete and ready for release. Boasting his own production on the entire album, guest appearances from Rapper "West" and "Stylez" who is also a member of his Rap Crew Pyramid Skeem, Real To Me is an intricate blend of Politics, Hardcore Rap, K-One street Rap and inspirational rhymes rotating around the concept of self elevation and aquiring financial freedom. Nicknamed the Grindsmith for his incredible accumen in matters of money and the "Grind", his pro wealth outlook differentiates him from most Syfer groomed Mcees. With a variety of business ventures under the Grindsmith brand, Phatmouse professes the right to financial independance and freedom for all people. On songs such as "Dial a Hustler" he confesses to resorting to extreme lengths in pursuit of financial freedom, a predicament most black youths face throughout the world, and one he insists can be avoided.
His first Single, Real To Me which is also the title track to his album is currently doing the rounds on South Afrcian Community Radio Stations and is being well received. The album is set for release late 2011, and it promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
Phatmouse has worked with Artists such as Charli Mengas of K-One Fam, Rashid, Stylez, Conscious X, Omega X, Kruna, Hoodlum, Kanivo and many others talented artists.
